Matt and the team at Angus Renewables were recommended to us by a colleague. From the initial discussion over the phone with Charles, the process has been seamless.
We knew very little about solar panels and inverters, and batteries, but the team patiently walked us through the whole process and came up with some very sensible suggestions. The price was extremely competitive, so we decided to go ahead.
We had to wait for planning permission and estate permission, which took about 12 weeks in total, but as soon as the paperwork was in, we agreed a date with Matt for the install to happen. The day before the installation, the scaffolders arrived to erect the scaffolding, which they did politely and professionally. On the install day, the weather was absolutely foul, with heavy rain and cold temperatures. It didn't put the team off, though, and despite us fully expecting the install to be delayed, they accomplished around 80% of the tasks, and we had 19 out of 24 panels installed, connected and generating by the end of the day.
2 days later, a different roofer arrived to complete the final installation of the remaining 5 panels on a different roof. Again, he was polite and professional and did a fantastic job.
The site was left clean and tidy, the installation is very neat and works just as it should. Matt is at the end of the phone in case of any questions (of which I had quite a few), and he is quick with his responses.
A full pack of information was emailed to me after the final panels were installed and commissioned, making it simple to register with my supplier for the solar export tariff.
Overall, a very impressive service. So much so that 2 of our friends are now seriously thinking of installing solar and using Angus Renewables.
Are there cheaper people about? Probably. But if you want a good installation, with knowledgeable, professional and friendly installers and a great team back at base, then look no further than Angus Renewables.
